We size based on calculated load (not just nameplates), pull the right permit, coordinate the utility meter pull, and stay on schedule so the power isn't out longer than needed.

- Q.01How long is the power out during a panel swap?
- Most whole-house panel swaps run 4-8 hours from the utility cutoff to reconnect. Larger services or service-entrance replacements can run longer. We schedule the work to minimize disruption — usually a morning start with reconnect by late afternoon.
- Q.02Do I need 200A, or can I stay at 100A?
- Depends on planned loads. A home with no EV, no heat pump, no induction, no tankless can run on 100A indefinitely. Add any one of those and you're approaching the limit. Add two and you need 200A. We do the load calc so you know which path applies.
- Q.03Is panel upgrade rebate-eligible?
- Sometimes. Federal IRA includes a tax credit for panel upgrades that enable heat-pump or EV installs. Some utilities (PSE, Tacoma Power) add their own incentives. We identify what you qualify for as part of the quote.
